Food Review: Las Vegas

You probably had heard the saying, “What happened in Vegas, stays in Vegas”. But the Vegas I had visited is pretty different.

I am eager to share with you the fine dine experience I had at a newly joint opened in Ahmedabad – ‘Las Vegas.’ When you enter in, the décor impress you in the first sight. It has beautiful frames and pictures of famous English people and sayings. The walls are done in red and black color.

Space is enough to accommodate 15 – 20 people. On some occasions, they even conduct a live performance. Coming to food, here’s what I tried:

Lahsuni Bharwan Mushroom: For lovers of mushroom, this is must try. And if you love garlic, it makes it worth having it. The soft and delicate mushroom is filled with fine garlic and spices. Cooked to minimal perfection, it served as a greater starter.

Veg Paneer Satay: The highlights for this dish were the crunchy peanuts used in the gravy. The Paneer steak was toasted, rolled in creamy gravy, and had crunchiness of peanuts. One of the unique taste of Paneer I had till now.

Veg Khowsuey: First part of the main course, Veg Khowsuey was a brilliant combo. It was served with its accompaniments that were unique. They consisted of fried garlic, ginger, onion, noodles, diced spring onion, and pieces of cashew. The Veg Khowsuey was thick and creamy. It smelled of all the pleasant spices that it consisted of. Teamed with boiled rice, it tastes perfect!

I was quite happy with the overall presentation, garnish, and the taste. Do try it when you are visiting this place next.

Veg Cheese Angoori: The dish served to us was good in taste. However, it didn’t have cheese Angoori flavor. The balls were made from fenugreek instead of cheese. The gravy was creamy however, I think name didn’t go along with the dish.

Blueberry Cheese Cake: Only one word – YUMMY!

Darshan – This was one of the authentic oriental desserts. Honey fried noodles served with vanilla ice-cream. The cold and hot combination was different yet beautiful.

Brownie: How can one not like a hot brownie with Vanilla ice-cream. The brownie was soft and mushy. The chocolate syrup added on it just made it brilliant end to a great meal!
